Steve Whitaker has always been involved in construction. Early in his career he used construction jobs to pay his way through college. Following which, he spent 12 years designing and building medical and dental offices. When the company for which he worked, Guggenheim Construction was bought out by a larger company, Steve took that opportunity to start his own company and Whitaker Construction was born.
Steve's brother Chuck, joined the company soon thereafter following his retirement from 28 years in the Military and the name of the company was changed to Whitaker Brothers. The brothers expanded their business to include not only medical and dental office design and construction but log cabins and steel homes as well. After a great deal of research into the available products on the steel home market, the decision was made to purchase a custom home distributorship through Tri-Steel Homes of Denton, Texas. Tri-Steel's quality products and excellent support for their clients made them an obvious choice.
Today, Whitaker Brothers Construction is one of the fastest growing construction firms in Southern California. One of their projects however, of which they are most proud, is the development and maintenance of a Mobil Dental Clinic. This clinic was designed initially to allow dentists to keep their practice active while their offices were under construction and/or re-design but it has since developed into much more than that. The Mobil Dental Clinic is currently used for Outreach programs throughout the state, bringing good dental health to disadvantage children, veterans and the homeless, those who otherwise could not afford it. It is this type of giving back to the community that makes the brothers feel most fulfilled.
Steve and Chuck look forward to having the opportunity to serve their clients and help them with their construction projects. |
